LOESS Project Showcases Its Vision and Builds Collaboration Opportunities in Aarhus, during the EUROPEAN mission soil week 2025

On 5–6 November, the LOESS project took part in the European Mission Soil Week in Aarhus, Denmark, where it presented its objectives and approach to an engaged community of researchers, practitioners, and stakeholders working on soil health and sustainability across Europe.

During the trial session, the LOESS team introduced the project’s mission to foster learning, observation, and experimentation in soil management through a participatory, landscape-based approach. The presentation generated strong interest and valuable discussions with participants, reflecting a shared commitment to advancing sustainable soil practices.

The event also provided an important opportunity to connect with other initiatives, such as ECHO and CurioSoil, which are active in related areas of soil research and innovation. These exchanges underlined the potential for collaboration, particularly in community engagement, digital soil monitoring, and knowledge sharing. Early conversations opened the door to possible joint activities and synergies within the wider European soil mission framework.

By the close of the event, LOESS had successfully introduced its vision and established new relationships within the European soil innovation network. The team returned from Aarhus inspired and ready to continue building cooperation with partners working toward healthier and more resilient soils across Europe.
