Social Innovation Institute
Social Innovation Institute (SII) is located in Vilnius, Lithuania. It is an independent non-profit organisation that performs fundamental and applied social research, runs projects related to social, educational and science policy and science communication, provides services and solutions for public policy makers, and non-governmental organisations. It has extensive experience in doing social research and best practice studies, preparing guidelines and toolkits, collaborating with and engaging NGOs working in relevant fields. It has in its portfolio a number of national and international projects, including SciShops, Sparks, FIT4FOOD2030, Researcher Nights.

Ingrida Gečienė
Dr. Ingrida Gečienė has a background in sociology. She is the director, researcher and project manager at SII and teaches at Vilnius University. Her research interests include such topics as environment and society, migration and sustainability. She has taken part in numerous national and international research and science communication projects, including SciShops, Sparks, and FIT4FOOD2030. She has also worked on several projects that addressed teachers’ community, including preparation of methodological tools and guidelines. She brings into the LOESS project her social research skills, connection to the networks of NGOs and schools in Lithuania.
Laima Nevinskaitė
Dr. Laima Nevinskaitė has an interdisciplinary background in communication and media studies, social research, and linguistics. She is a researcher at SII and teaches at Vilnius University. She has taken part in numerous national and international research and science communication projects, including SciShops. She has also worked on several projects that addressed the teachers’ community. She brings into the LOESS project her social research skills, understanding of the functioning of the secondary and high education system, and understanding of public communication.
Neringa Jacobsen
Neringa Jacobsen has an interdisciplinary background in arts and education science. She works as project coordinator at a secondary school and event coordinator at SII. She brings into the LOESS project her understanding of the primary and secondary education system, connection to teacher networks, and experience of organising co-creation events.
