“Frankie from the Compost Pile” (in Slovak: František z kompostu) is a children’s book designed for pre-primary and primary education, centred around the importance of compost and the crucial role played by earthworms in the ecosystem. Through the engaging narrative of František the earthworm and his adventures, the book helps children understand nature’s complexity and the important contributions of even the smallest organisms. The book is written by Simona Čechová and is available to purchase in Slovak, Czech, Latvian, Ukrainian, Korean, German and French language.
Objective
The primary objective of the book is to foster a positive connection with nature among children while explaining the important role of organisms within the ecosystem.
