Wila Bonn
Since 1984 Bonn Science Shop (WILA Bonn) dedicates its work to key social challenges: the enormous land use, energy transition, sustainable work fields, social justice, just to name a few. To overcome those challenges WILA Bonn aims to build a bridge between Science and Society. The overall objective of enabling people to use their knowledge for a socially acceptable change of their natural and social environment aligns with the stance that only those who have understood the societal challenges and their options for action can act to make a change. Thus, the education of people (both scientists and citizens) is of major importance to WILA Bonn. WILA Bonn provides the coordinating team for the LOESS project.
LOESS is Norbert’s 21st international project and it is the 5th international project he is coordinating. Projects he has been involved in include PERARES, RRI TOOLS, EnRRICH, SPARKS, BigPicnic and TeRRIFICA. Besides, he supported numerous more Horizon projects through being on their advisory board. He’s actively involved in the RRI community and is also coordinator of the Living Knowledge Network.
Laura has a background in project management and before LOESS was involved in six other international projects, including SPARKS, BLOOM, Allthings.bioPRO and TeRRIFICA. She as well as has been involved in several national projects and focuses her work on coordination tasks, process monitoring and enabling as well as workshop implementation. In the Living Knowledge Network she is responsible for the newsletter.
Since 2011, Michaela works in WILA Bonn in FP7 and Horizon 2020/Horizon Europe projects on the topics “science with and for society” and “responsible research and innovation”. Prior to LOESS she was involved in the projects PERARES, RRI Tools, EnRRICH, BLOOM and TeRRIFICA. On national level her projects focus on sustainability, biodiversity and climate adaptation. In the Living Knowledge Network she is responsible for the website.
